Charge your Headset

Before you turn on and start using the VIVE Focus 3 headset, it's recommended to fully charge it first. The headset is fully charged when the LED is white.

Switching to Developer Mode

To set up your HTC Vive Focus 3 headset for accessing PIXO VR training modules, you must first reset the headset to factory settings. To do this, you must put your headset in Developer Mode.
 

  1. Select the Vive Button to pull up the Home Menu
  2. Select Settings > More Settings
  3. Scroll Down to About Device > Build Number (select 7 Times)
  4. You will see a message that reads, "Congratulations You Are Now a Developer!"
  5. This step adds a "Developer Options" field in your "More Settings" menu.
  6. Select "More Settings"
  7. Select Security > Enable Unknown Sources
  8. Select "Go Back"
  9. Go to Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
  10. Select "Go Back"
  11. Once in Developer Mode, you can plug your headset into a computer and begin sideloading!

 

Sideloading Through SideQuest
 

 

  1. Go to the SideQuest Website and select "Get SideQuest".
  2. Download the file for your appropriate operating system.
  3. Run and install the file.

 

How to Sideload
 

 

  1. First, make sure that your headset is plugged into your computer. Then, open SideQuest.
  2. Select the “Install APK file from Folder” icon in the navigation bar.

  3. Choose the .apk file AND the .obb file from the module download folder.
  4. The module will then begin to download in SideQuest as well as your headset.
  5. In headset, the module will be available under "My Apps."

  6. Once installation is complete, select the "Currently Installed Apps" icon in SideQuest
  7. Search for the module that you would like to train in, then select the Gear Icon to the right of the module.
  8. Scroll to "Permissions" and turn on Read and Write selections.

  9. Get in the headset and start training!
