Charge your Headset
Before you turn on and start using the VIVE Focus 3 headset, it's recommended to fully charge it first. The headset is fully charged when the LED is white.
Switching to Developer Mode
To set up your HTC Vive Focus 3 headset for accessing PIXO VR training modules, you must first reset the headset to factory settings. To do this, you must put your headset in Developer Mode.
- Select the Vive Button to pull up the Home Menu
- Select Settings > More Settings
- Scroll Down to About Device > Build Number (select 7 Times)
- You will see a message that reads, "Congratulations You Are Now a Developer!"
- This step adds a "Developer Options" field in your "More Settings" menu.
- Select "More Settings"
- Select Security > Enable Unknown Sources
- Select "Go Back"
- Go to Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
- Select "Go Back"
- Once in Developer Mode, you can plug your headset into a computer and begin sideloading!
Sideloading Through SideQuest
- Go to the SideQuest Website and select "Get SideQuest".
- Download the file for your appropriate operating system.
- Run and install the file.
How to Sideload
- First, make sure that your headset is plugged into your computer. Then, open SideQuest.
- Select the “Install APK file from Folder” icon in the navigation bar.
- Choose the .apk file AND the .obb file from the module download folder.
- The module will then begin to download in SideQuest as well as your headset.
- In headset, the module will be available under "My Apps."
- Once installation is complete, select the "Currently Installed Apps" icon in SideQuest
- Search for the module that you would like to train in, then select the Gear Icon to the right of the module.
- Scroll to "Permissions" and turn on Read and Write selections.
- Get in the headset and start training!
